Dear Clay people.
I am looking to make knife handles that are molded to a person's hand.
Some have suggested Polymer clay. will polymer clay hold up to a kitchen knife's use??
Thanks

Wow....Sorry we weren't quick enough for you!
You can cover knive handles in clay, and I would think it would hold up to use, but keep in mind that polymer clay shouldn't come in contact with food at all. In the case of a knife handle it doesn't seem that that would be a problem. I wouldn't put it thru the dishwasher, either. I've seen silverware handles decorated in clay, so my vote would be yes, go for it.
