Welcome Jeri
I'm new to the forums too, they're kinda new but it looks like it's going to be a great board. And it doesnt have any of those annoying pop up ads |

Clay Bacon,
What kind of clay things do you make?
I am making beads now and really loving it.
Hope your day is going good.

I started out making cartoonish characters (turtles, bears, frogs) but now I'm *trying* to venture into more realalistic-looking figurines like fairies. I'm still trying to get the hang of it though, I keep doing really well on the bodies but I always seem to have trouble with the face.
I havent tried beads yet, they look fun though. Great website by the way, I saw it on TCS's front page.
I think I'm going to revert to something a little more simple (the project I've been working on lately has been a huge challenge) I think I might venture into some basic-level jewelry making for now until I can get more practice and then try the fairies again. |

I can't make a face.
My 12 year old son is great at things like that.
I have found a book by Maureen Carlson, it is all about making people, it may be helpful.
I don't have the time or patience for such in depth projects.
Thanks for the compliments on our website.
My husband has done it all himself. We really enjoy working on it.
It is always changing.
Making beads is very fun for me, although it sometimes feels strange to be making them because I normally would not wear anything like this.
What I like most is they are instant gratification!
Check out JustBeads.com if you get a chance, there are some amazing
polymer clay beads on that auction site.

Hello there,
I'm new to the forum. Actually, this is my first polymer clay forum. My addiction to polymer clay started a couple of months ago. Right now I create PinHeads - one-of-a-kind sculpted wearable art brooches, but I'm ready to try some small sculptures and expand into other jewellery.
I look forward to getting to know others in this forum! |
