... I thought I'd post pictures of some of my newer pieces. Smile

This first image is the second sculpture I've done. I did it the day after I made the face in the thread "My first clay foray." It's a figure of one of the characters in my board game. I cheated on this one, in that I used non-hardening clay. This is also the first sculpture I've made using an armature (which was basically just a trapezoid with a circle on top for the head). The image can be found here:

Today, I made a more complex armature, using three pieces of wire - one for the legs, one for the abdoment, and another for the arms/head/chest. This image isn't really a "sculpture," so much as a demonstration of the armature. It can be seen here:

Later, I made yet another armature (this time four pieces - one for the legs/hips, two for the torso/arms, and one for the head), and made a newer version of the game character in the first picture using actual polymer clay this time (Premo, to be exact). This is my first truly serious piece, and is a work-in-progress. The specimen resides here:

Hope you like them! Smile

I really like how you have the appearance of movement with the robe on your figure in the first picture. The body posture of the figure in your second picture is very assertive and confident. The body position of the figure in your third photo seems to be that of someone leaning forward, perhaps into a stiff wind. I admire your dedication!

Thank you for continuing to share photos of your work!

Once again, very nice work. I'm so impressed by how much progress you're making.
