Hi all,
I've been using PC for about 3 years and have made many types of things.
However, I recently got surprised by a crack forming in the inside of a cuff bracelet ala Donna Kato style. I've made at least ten of these and never had this happen beforeLPIt is parrallel to the long dimension and about an inch long. If a crack happens, I would think it would be perpendicular due to the stress during taking it on and off.
I was wondering if the fault could lie with the clay itself. I had to add both liquid PC and the softener to get a non-cracking roll throught the past machine. I must have sent this through 50 to 75 times, so I am pretty sure it was thouroughly mixed.
Any ideas as to why this might happen or anecdotes about cracking would be much appreciated- I don't want to have another 3 hours wasted!
