I have found the childrens foaming hand soap made by Bath and Body Works, to be the most effective for getting clay off my hands.

It seems not to leave any residue of clay and does not dry my hands out as much as other types of soaps.

I have used many other brands of foaming soaps and they have not been as effective, in my opinion.

I also always use cold water when washing.

I hope this helps.

I hadn't thought of that, I'll try it! My problem is getting the strong colors (like red, black, etc) off my hands. I have been using hand-wipes but it doesn't seem to do the job too well. I'm going to the mall today, I'll check out the B&B soap! Thanks!

To clean my hands I use Lava hand soap, cold water and if I am washing up after using a color that has "stained" my hands or the clay has gotten under my fingernails (I have long nails). I use a battery powered "Tide" stain remover brush and/or a stiff toothbrush.

Just found and joined this board. Have only been a pc user for about 2 months and learning every day! Originally a soaper so I'm used to addictions and polymer is another one of mine!!
On cleaning hands, I find that the lotion I make (a bit greasy) cleans my hands and also my grandson who clays w/me. We use it like soap and either wipe w/paper towel or rinse w/water and then dry w/paper towel. Even gets the red color out!
