|
|
Hi!
This is my first step into the world of clay AND my first time in an online forum. I don't know if I'm doing this right...but here goes.
Is this clay stuff hard to do? The clay work I've seen looks like you'd have to be a professional artist to end up with a product that wouldn't just be laughable. How long does it take to get the knack of the clay world? Is it relaxing or stressful?
You insight as I contemplate taking the plunge would be appreciated! |

hi jack. i find polymer clay very relaxing, but im sort of a laid back person. there are many web sites with great things for beginners to make. i dont recommend sculpey. its very soft and can be brittle and break after its baked. i use mostly premo or kato. the sculpey web site has many things on it for beginners . u might want to check it out...polymerclaycentral is good too. see ya. |

Lucky for your dog that she "moves on out"!
What was the first thing you created? |

| The best thing about working with polymer clay is that there are no mistakes only creative suprises! You dont' have to be a seasoned artist to work with it. As with any artistic endeavour the magic word is practice. The most difficult part about working with clay is putting it down! |
