| I'm just starting out on sculpting. One of the questions I have is... How do you make clay doll eyes? |

HI,
There's a tutorial on making doll eyes in the Tutorial Section you might want to take a look at.

Hi, Yes, I've never had any problem baking acrylic paint.
Good luck!! You should post your work on the forum!

OH good. I was going to attempt making a iris cane, lol. That would be hard work. So I will roll clay, and paint them myself.
Thanks for info. I love this site. |

| It is nice to know that you can bake something that is painted with acrylic paint...I did eyes but baked them and then inserted them and baked again and then painted with acrylic and glossed them....whew...will try painting them first...thanks |

| will have to try genesis?...I read in my polymer clay book that you can paint the baked clay with acrylic paint and then varnish it but to degrease the surface first with denatured alcohol to take off any grease....I think I will go this way...since acrylic paint is easy to use and fast drying...they said never to use oil based or enamels because they will not adhere to the surface right...Kathy |
