Why did it peel off? Am I supposed to thin w/water?

How do you get it off brushes?

I don't know why it peeled off on your piece, but I just completed my first piece using Sculpy and glazed it. So far it hasn't peeled. What I did was apply it with one brush and removed the excess with another slightly larger brush that I kept cleaning. So far (thank goodness) no peeling.

As for getting it off of the brushes, I just used plain ole soap and water.

I know this doesn't answer your first question, but I hope it helps for future pieces.

Well it dries so fast. It gunked up in my brush and I'm having a hard time getting it out.

Maybe I did just put it on too thick. I'll try the 2 brush technique. Thanks!

I am very new to this, but I have run across some very good information. Could the glaze be comming off because of oil left on the piece you are trying to glaze? Would a cleaning with denatured alcohol help? I know I'm lat getting in on this, but just a suggestion.

I have used the Sculpey Glaze on my products and it has peeled off of most of them. It is not a glaze for jewelry or anything that gets much use. I found that Varathane Diamond Floor Finish is the absolute BEST glaze to use. It does not peel, it dries diamond hard and you can put it back in the oven for about 5 minutes for an even harder more durable finish. The only down side is that I only found it at Lowe's in the gallon size and it was $42.00. My customers have been very happy with their products since I started using it!!!!
