Hi. I'm new to pc. I want to use pearl ex, but I wonder if it has to be sealed or finished if it's applied prior to baking. And does the unbaked clay have to be treated before using the pearl ex?
Thanks! |

Hi,
Prior to baking it doesn't need any sealer...it adheres to the clay nicely. After baking I sometimes finish with a sealer to insure the powder doesn't flake off.

| Thanks. What kind of sealer do you use? I tried a sealer for foil and it was too glossy. The piece lost the original texture. |

| I've used several different kinds... Future floor wax one coat will give a smooth, satiny finish, use more coats to make it glossy. Or, Sculpey Glaze Gloss can be used for a shiny finish, Sculpey Satin Finish can be used for a less shiny finish. |
