I have been doing most crafts but took up clay. I just started and have only made a couple necklaces. I was already into beading(not making my own) so therefore have plenty of jewlery. What else do you guys make with clay? I am trying to justify spending so much on my hobbies and crafts by making useful things.

My personal favorite is fairies. I like the room for creativity with figurines. I guess they arent really useful though Smile

Lately I've been doing covers for things like light switches, toothbrushes, pens, etc. It's really easy to do and doesnt cost much because usually you don't end up using a lot of clay since it's just a cover. They make really great gifts too! Pretty much everyone I know got a pen from me for Christmas. I used holiday themed canes with santas and trees then wraped them around quality pens that I picked up at a flea market. They turned out really well and ended up not costing much at all, just a little time Smile

But like I said, my all tim favorite is fairies, even though they can be expensive and very time consuming to make. I actually want to start making minature fairies and sticking them on the ends of pens, just worried about them breaking off, havent really figured out that part yet Smile
